Firefighters from Boring, Sandy and Estacada as well as Clackamas County Sheriff’s deputies were called in the early-morning hours Wednesday, Jan. 20, to this building fire in Eagle Creek, near the intersection of highways 211 and 213. The blaze erupted in a structure described as an unoccupied barn, which was previously used as a woodworking shop. Highway 211 was closed for at least two hours while fire personnel fought the blaze. No one was injured, and the building was empty at the time of the fire. After an investigation, the fire’s ignition source was described by Boring Fire Investigator Pat Bigelow as “undetermined.”
