Eagle Creek resident Katherine “Kay” Emily Ferguson Wilson, 86, died Saturday, Nov. 7, at her home.
A celebration of her life will be held at noon Saturday, Nov. 21, at Community Presbyterian Church of Sandy, 39290 Scenic St.
Kay was born Dec. 11, 1922, in Missouri to Claude and Ethel Zollman. The family moved to Enterprise and settled on the family farm, and Kay graduated from Joseph High School. She moved to Portland and worked in the shipyards during World War II.
Kay married John Ferguson. They divorced in 1963. Kay later worked for the U.S. Postal Service, where she met and married Kenneth Wilson. They moved to a farm in Eagle Creek and later both retired from the Postal Service.
Kay was interested in art and left her family and friends many paintings. She loved animals and had many pets. She also enjoyed reading novels.
She was preceded in death by 11 of her 12 siblings.
Survivors include her husband, Ken; daughter, Linda Kay Howard of Auburn, Wash.; stepson, Eric Wilson of Gresham; brother, Dwayne Zollman of Union; five grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.

Sandy resident Terry Allen Simpson, 63, died Sunday, Nov. 8, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at Sandy Funeral Home, 39551 Pleasant St. A reception will follow the service at the Sandy Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.
Terry was born Aug. 3, 1946, in Portland to George Allen and Jean Marie (Hubbert) Simpson. Terry moved to Sandy as a child after his father, who was a pilot, died in a plane crash. Terry graduated from Sandy High School in 1964 and worked for the local theater as a projectionist for many years.
Terry later worked for Sandy Dairy Queen and VFW Post 4273. He enjoyed being with people, seeing friends and attending family gatherings.
Survivors include his brother, Thomas Simpson of Gresham; great-aunt, Mildred Hubbert of Portland; and nephews, Thomas Simpson of Portland and Robert Simpson of Damascus.

Tillford “Tip” Merrell Howard, a resident of Boring, died Friday, Nov. 13, with his family by his side. He was 87.
A funeral service was held Monday, Nov. 16, at Sandy Funeral Home. Burial was at Sandy Ridge Cemetery.
