This is a list of coming and current fundraisers for the Hands of Hope team going to Uganda next month. (See story above with photo)
Nov. 13, 6 p.m.: A FREE African dinner and auction at the Sandy Community Center, 38348 Pioneer Blvd., including silent and verbal auctions for merchandise such as lift tickets, theme baskets, ballet tickets, gymnasium membership, and many others.
Until Nov. 6: Panda Express in Sandy will donate 20 percent of all sales when Hands of Hope is mentioned.
Nov. 7: A concert will be offered for teenagers, with local bands playing at the Community Center, 38348 Pioneer Blvd. Admission is $5 each.
Nov. 21: An all-day holiday bazaar will be held at Firwood Elementary School, 42900 Trubel Road.
Nov. 27, 6 a.m.-9 p.m.: The girls will wrap gifts for donations all day Black Friday at Barnes and Noble in Clackamas Town Center.
Dec. 5: An all-day holiday bazaar will be held at the Mt. Hood Athletic Club, 37095 Highway 26.
Anytime: The girls are collecting beverage cans and bottles that would gain a nickel deposit. Nickels add up quickly, said Mikki Proffitt. Write for a drop off place or for pickup.
To donate cash: Send checks to Dena Isbel, 18180 Van Fleet Ave., Sandy 97055. If a tax deduction is desired, make checks to Next Generation Ministries, and the money will apply to the expenses of this trip.
