Forest Service volunteers are also available at an information desk inside Timberline Lodge to provide information on the lodge, hikes and other help each day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nature hikes are offered daily at 2 p.m., and a video in the lodge’s Barlow Room shows daily at noon. Tours will run until the end of August.

Trillium Lake: Nature hikes at 10 a.m. Saturdays, Barlow Road history hike at Summit Meadows at 11:30 a.m. Saturdays and campfire programs at 7 p.m. Saturdays.
Timothy Lake: Campfire programs at 7 p.m. Saturdays.
Smokey's Trail: Interactive hike for kids with a special appearance from Smokey Bear on Sundays from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the ZigZag Ranger Station, 70220 Highway 26 in ZigZag.
Mt. Hood Skibowl: Hike to Tom Dick peak (from top of upper bowl lift) with possible trip to backcountry Wind Lake from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Visitors are responsible for the cost of the lift ticket.
Junior Ranger Day: Sunday, Aug. 10, at Mt. Hood Skibowl, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Smokey Bear’s Birthday Bash: Saturday, Aug. 2, at Timberline Lodge, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Wednesdays at Wildwood: Children’s conservation education and activities at Wildwood Park, 65670 Highway 26 in Welches, Wednesdays from 9 to 11 a.m. Visitors are responsible for entry fee to the park.
